This is a virtual one-track, highly-interactive program, designed for technical communication managers to hone their skills in six critical areas of management:
- Building an inclusive, equitable, and collaborative environment within your team and with other teams and customers
- Confronting unacceptable behavior at all levels
- Setting expectations, drawing boundaries, and saying no
- Gaining respect for you and your team
- Asking for resources, such as people, money, time, and tools
- Managing change at all levels
Format of Sessions
- 3 hours each, with ½ hour intermission
- Instruction built off of the Improvisational Communication program
- A case study featuring a real-life technical communication situation and how it was addressed
- Development of skills in breakout sessions
- Application of skills in small group role-playing scenarios
- Recap of best practice takeaways
